U.S. Money Reserve Celebrates Female Leaders for International Women’s Day

In light of International Women’s Day, companies around the world have celebrated the women who work hard to make their businesses successful. One such company is U.S. Money Reserve, one of the largest private distributors of government-issued precious metals in the United States.

U.S. Money Reserve prides itself on its diverse team, which embraces employees of various genders, backgrounds, and nationalities. And, in celebration of International Women’s Day, the company has spotlighted the women who drive U.S. Money Reserve’s leadership team: CEO Angela Roberts, Compliance and Legal Officer Francine Breckenridge, and Controller Sherry Hao.

Chief Executive Officer Angela Roberts

As the only female CEO in the precious metals industry, Angela Roberts oversees all company departments and nurtures U.S. Money Reserve’s inclusive workplace culture. Her people-oriented approach prioritizes both employee and client needs, and her support for both has positioned U.S. Money Reserve as a trusted leader in the precious metals arena.

During her 17 years at U.S. Money Reserve, Roberts has been an integral part of the company, which serves clients who are looking to diversify their wealth with precious metals. Her background in business strategy, mergers, and acquisitions informs her management style; additionally, Roberts created the company’s analytic and KPI structure.

Roberts has completed many interviews to share her business insights with budding entrepreneurs around the world. She recently took part in an interview with Forbes, in which she detailed how helping employees develop their skills can benefit companies in diverse ways. Roberts explained that many sales organizations are only interested in getting employees to hit sales targets. However, U.S. Money Reserve helps its staff understand client needs, fully comprehend company materials, and provide holistic sales solutions. Each employee partakes in professional and personal development to fulfill an array of roles to meet all customer needs.

Roberts’ Views on Female Leadership

In one interview, CorpGov asked Roberts whether her approach as a CEO differs from approaches adopted by male CEOs. Roberts emphasized that gender should not affect a leader’s responsibilities.

“I believe it’s the responsibility of any CEO—regardless of his or her gender, age, race, political views, or popularity—to invest in the professional as well as personal growth of all individuals at an organization,” she said. “When a CEO invests in both areas of their employees’ lives, it will not only foster a positive and healthy work experience for the company as a whole, but it will also help to build a fuller life for each individual at every level.”

When talking to CEOWORLD, Roberts elaborated on this. “Being a woman in a leadership role, I’m grateful for the perspective I have,” she said. Her people-centric approach has helped her develop an inclusive, healthy workplace for U.S. Money Reserve’s team. Roberts explained that she runs U.S. Money Reserve like a family, ensuring that each team member receives the support needed to achieve their best work and maintain personal health and well-being. Roberts compared leading a project, department, or even a company to being a parent, explaining that her work extends beyond work hours and that her level of care and attention to detail must reflect the dedication and effort put in by employees at every level.

Compliance and Legal Officer Francine Breckenridge

Francine Breckenridge has dedicated the last six years to her role as U.S. Money Reserve’s compliance and legal officer. She ensures that all company functions follow legal requirements while meeting business goals. To achieve this, Breckenridge develops compliance programs, reviews all business policies, and advises the rest of U.S. Money Reserve’s leadership team on potential risks. She also draws up action plans in response to audit discoveries and ensures that all employees are up to date with the latest regulations and processes.

Controller Sherry Hao

Sherry Hao brings more than 16 years of experience in finance and accounting to her role as U.S. Money Reserve’s controller. Having managed finances for companies in engineering, real estate, and financial markets, Hao is well-positioned to manage U.S. Money Reserve’s financial operations. She manages the annual financial audit, leads cash planning, monitors and reports on financial performance, and assists with tax compliance. These essential responsibilities make Hao a key part of U.S. Money Reserve’s leadership team.
