Smosh Biography

Who made Smosh and what is the net worth of the channel?

The comedic duo Smosh is made up of Anthony Padilla and Ian Hecox. In the fall of 2005, they started uploading videos to YouTube, where they quickly rose to become one of the most well-known channels.

Since 2012, the Smosh brand has grown to include some channels, including a variety channel, a channel dedicated to video game content, and a station in Spanish. More actors have been used in the sketches as well. In June 2017 Padilla departed Smosh to work on his projects.

Who made Smosh?

Two talented people built Smosh together using their innovative ideas. In the year 2002, Daniel Anthony Padilla decided to launch a website. His friend Ian, who would go on to become his creative and business partner, joined him in this endeavour. Let’s get to know each other better.

Daniel Anthony Padilla, an American citizen, was born on November 30, 1987, in Sacramento County, California. He is the one who came up with the moniker Smosh, which he also used for the name of the website he started in 2002. In 2017, Padilla left the Smosh channel, claiming that he was not given enough creative freedom.

Throughout its existence, its video, Pokémon Theme Music Video, had almost 24 million views on the internet. Between the years 2006 and 2012, the channel had significant growth in its viewers, subscriptions, and audiences.

They launched three separate Smosh-based web series in addition to adding games and pop culture quiz sections to their websites, which they improved. They also developed the “iShut Up App” for Android mobile devices.

Later in 2012, the Smosh duo launched three YouTube channels: ElSmosh, Shut Up! Cartoons, and Smosh Games, each of which contained a variety of content catered to different audiences, and which helped them expand their fan bases.

However, Padilla announced his departure from the channel in 2017 to pursue personal projects, alleging a lack of creative freedom. Hecox remained with the station throughout.
